Water Temp:

54-60

Water Clarity:

Clear

Hatches:

Caddis

Suggested Patterns:

Princes #10-14, Stoneflies #6-10, Caddis #8-12, Sucker Spawn, Eggs, Juans, Streamers (white and black)

The Lake Champlain Tribs are still fishing well for the Rainbows. There has also been some good Caddis activity as well. We can expect the Bass to start pushing in and a slow migration of rainbows back to the Lake. However, I have continued to catch some good Rainbows well into May and Bass season. Natural imitations and some wilder fly patterns have worked. Chartreuse anything is a good imitation of the Grannom Caddis. Streamers have been taking fish as well, but the worm and eggs continues to catch fish. Stremers are a great choice for the Bass as well. Buggers are a favorite because they make a good crawfishimitatino. We like Olive, Black, and our Orange Black combo here at the shop for the Bass. I usually use a double strea, mer rig with a small streamer being chased by a larger one. I use a grizzly matuka, hornburg ior small bugger for the small one. Large Stonefly nymphs as Hellgrammites.
